So you watch TV for fun or just to past the time right? Wrong! These days I find myself planning time to sit down and watch tv. Specific days designated to specific shows.
Days when I have more free time or am allowed to have more free time, those are the days I get comfortable and sit back with a melodramatic show. More often though, my choice of tv indulgence is a soppy romance where I can fall in love with the main characters as they fall in love. The best kind of dramas are the ones that incite emotion within me.
So what’s the difference between TV dramas and everything else on TV?
TV dramas are basically the cherry on top of the TV-watching cake, and they’re ridiculously enjoyable.
So, picture this: you’re lounging in your comfiest spot, remote in hand, and you hit play on that new drama series everyone’s been raving about. Right away, you’re in for a wild ride.
First off, the characters. They’re like your new group of friends, except you don’t have to worry about their drama spilling into your life. You get invested in their stories, their relationships, and their triumphs and tribulations.
But what really makes TV dramas a blast is the storytelling. These shows are like the masters of suspense. They throw plot twists your way that you never saw coming, leaving you on the edge of your seat. And those cliffhangers? They’re basically the TV equivalent of a mic drop.
Then there are the emotions. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll yell at the screen – sometimes all in one episode. It’s like an emotional rollercoaster that you willingly sign up for.
The production quality? Top-notch. The visuals are often breathtaking, the sets are like mini-masterpieces, and the soundtrack? Well, it’s the soundtrack to your TV drama addiction. Like in movies, I’m always amazed at the amount of thought put to the slightest detail. From the lighting to setting to even the matching dialogue, all incredibly well thought out.
But here’s the cool part – these dramas aren’t just about entertainment. They often dive into some deep stuff, tackling real-life issues, complex relationships, and even history. So, while you’re enjoying the drama, you’re also getting a dose of insight.
And let’s give a shoutout to the actors. They’re the ones who make these characters feel so real. Their performances are so convincing; you’ll sometimes forget they’re just playing a role. They often become the character, especially in those dramas that go on for countless seasons. Ahem. Meredith Grey.
So, if you’re in the mood for some thrilling, emotional, and seriously addictive TV, today’s your day you get to embark on a rollercoaster for your TV-watching soul – you won’t be able to resist the thrill.
